Sexual health promotion, education and prevention through, training, information dissemination, advice and support
Specific Projects and Other General Work:
Devise and participate in and support a number of local and National Networks and Groups whose work may encompass sexual health and health promotion
Work in partnership with other agencies who support sexual health promotion work in Cork and Kerry.
Plan, deliver and evaluate the accredited 6 day National Foundation Programme in Sexual Health Promotion (FPSHP) across Cork and Kerry. Target participants are those working in the health, education, disability and community sectors, whose work currently, or has the potential to involve aspects of sexual health promotion. The course increases participants’ capacity to incorporate sexual health promotion into their work through the development of their comfort levels, confidence, knowledge and skills in relation to sexual health
Support participants of the FPSHP to implement and embed sexual health promotion work in their settings across Cork Kerry Community Healthcare
Development of literature and webinars on specific health topics e.g. Let’s Talk About Menopause
Provide support to at risk groups in sexual health promotion as required e.g. disability groups, homeless populations
